Do you need a visa?
The Visa is normally required by all except the following: Nationals of EU countries, Andorra, Bahamas, Barbados, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Morocco, Namibia, Norway, Peru, Philippines, San Marino, Slovenia, South Africa, Surinam, Switzerland, Trinidad & Tobago, Vatican City and Venezuela for tourist stays of up to 90 days (please confirm this information at the embassy of your country).
All visitors must carry a passport valid for at least 6 months and a return or onward ticket.
Cost of the Visa
Depends on your nationality, the cost is approximately 60 Euros and for many nationalities it is less.
Validity of Visa
90 days from the date of issue. To can extend it once in Brazil.
Documents needed
- Valid passport;
- Application form;
- Proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay;
- 2 passport-sized photos;
- Return or onward tickets (photocopy, or letter from carrier giving flight details);
- Fee (paid in cash or with a Giro slip obtainable from the Consulate).
