Iemanjá Party on February 2nd 2009

On February 2nd, Diálogo students headed to the ocean to celebrate the day of Iemanjá! To honor the Candomblé goddess of salt water, devotees send flowers and other small presents to the water. In the late afternoon, fishermen take large baskets of flowers out to sea in small boats to offer to Iemanjá.
