Eliete Cajazeira - Helper

“Hi, I’m Eliete and I’m the Janitor at Diálogo. I make sure the students are as comfortable as possible. When you get here, I know you’ll enjoy my herbal tea and strong Brazilian coffee.”

 


Jailson Santos - Cultural Guide and Coordinator

"My name is Ricardo and I am the Manager of Diálogo. I oversee the administrative and financial aspects for the school. I enjoy my work because I love meeting people from all over the world. Here in Salvador, I enjoy Carnaval, soccer, and the city’s cultural festivals."

 

Kleber Moitinho - Didactic Coordinator

"Hi! My name is Kleber. I was born here in Salvador, Bahia. I have a B.A. in English from UFBA (Universidade Federal da Bahia) and a graduate degree in Education. What I like most about teaching is that I’m always learning something. When you arrive at Diálogo, I’ll be here to help place you into the right class and help with any questions you may have about the course.”

Ângela Menezes - Teacher

"Hello! My name is Ângela. I speak English and Spanigh. I really enjoy working with people from different countries and cultures. I graduated from UFBA (Universidade Federal da Bahia) and am a certified Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) trainer. I am also a body work practitioner. In my free time I sing, dance, and play pandeiro."

Edna Leandro - Teacher

"Welcome! I’m Edna and I double majored in Teaching and Language at the Federal University of Bahia. I’ve lived in the United States and the Chech Republic. Here in Brazil, I like to teach the language and culture of my country."

 

 

Lara Ribeiro - Teacher

"Hi! I majored in Law at the Catholic University of Salvador-Bahia, and did my specialization in Higher Education. I speak English and a bit of Spanish and love to work with foreign students! In my free time I like listening to music, going to the cinema, and everything involved in international matters."



Marcelo Santos - Teacher

"Hi! My name is Marcelo Santos. I graduated in Literature and Portuguese and English Language at the Federal University of Bahia. I am an english and portuguese teacher for foreigners. I enjoy travelling, listening to music, going out with friends and going to the cinema."




Rômulo Tartaruga - Teacher

"Hi, I’m Rômulo. I majored in Portuguese and English at UNIFACS University. Currently, I’m completing a Masters degree in Portuguese as a Second Language at the Federal University of Bahia. Aside from languages, I enjoy traveling abroad, eco trekking, and cinema."




Sônia Castro - Teacher

"My name is Sônia and I was born and raised in Bahia. I majored in Portuguese and English at the Federal University of Bahia, and in Portuguese and Brazilian Literature at the University of Lisbon. I’ve taught Portuguese in both Germany and the United States. In my free time I like to travel, read, and listen to music."


Tatiana Pessanha - Teacher

"Hi, I am Tatiana. I majored in Portuguese and English Language at the Federal University of Bahia and have a specialization in Childhood Education and Special Education. I’m originally from Belo Horizonte, in the state of Minas Gerais, but I’ve been living in Salvador since 1997. I like reading, dancing, traveling, and of course meeting new people!"

“Hello, my name is Jamilly. I have a B.A. in Portuguese and a specialization in Portuguese Grammar and Texts. In addition to Portuguese, I’ve studied English and Italian and currently study German and Higher Education. I love being a Portuguese teacher and meeting new people! In my free time I like going out with friends, and seeing plays or movies.”

Lucas "Paciencia" - Capoeira Teacher

"My name is Lucas, or Contra Mestre Paciência. I give Capoeira classes to students of all ages, nations, and cities, and love seeing students improve and enjoy themselves. In our classes, I will show you how to enjoy Capoeira and the Afro Brazilian culture. For me, Capoeira has provided perspective and opened many paths, which is why I’m so happy to be teaching it!”

Carmen Pinheiro - Cooking Teacher

"I’m Carmen and I am a typical Bahian. I have been in love with cooking since I was a child and enjoy sharing what I know. For me, the most rewarding part of preparing food is seeing others enjoy it…and you’ll definitely enjoy it! I will show you how to make traditional Bahian dishes like moqueca, farofa, and of course caipirinha."

Camila - Dance Teacher

"My name is Camila and I was born in Rio de Janeiro. I’ve been dancing for ten years and practice Lambada, Bahian Swing, Forró, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Pagode, Afro-dance and Samba!. I’ve studied in many dance schools, the most important being the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and the Cultural Foundation for Dance (Fundação Cultural de dança). I consider dance to be my life; it is both exercise for the body and inspiration for the soul!".
